This Week in 80’s History!

It’s time to take a look back at this week in 80’s history!

It was on this week in:

1982 – “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor would hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts!

1986 – Paul Simon Released Graceland, his seventh studio album featuring “You Can Call Me Al” and one of my favorite videos of the 80’s featuring Chevy Chase lip singing the song as Simon plays various instruments. The album would go on to win album of the year at the Grammy’s.

1988 – The First WWE SummerSlam took place at Madison Square Garden. In the main event Randy Macho Man Savage and the immortal Hulk Hogan joined forces as the Mega Powers to take down the Mega Bucks, Million Dollar Man Ted Debiasi and Andre the Giant.

1989 – The story of a curious cat and a pug nosed pup, The Adventures of Milo and Otis, debuted in theaters.

Skid Row guitarist not looking for Sebastian Bach reunion.

In a recent interview Skid Row guitarist, Dave “Snake” Sabo, was asked about a possible reunion with former front man Sebastian Bach and was quoted as saying, “You know what? I don’t know. I’ve gotta be honest — it’s not something that I think about. Truly, it’s not something that I think about.”

Sad News from Camping with Steve

Camping with Steve is a YouTube channel I’ve been following for a while. Steve Wallis was even kind enough to come on the show at one point, but sadly, this week’s episode of Camping with Steve was amazingly sad. Steve broke the news that his wife had passed away over the weekend. You can see Steve’s video below. During it, he told everyone that they can help by donating to your local food bank, it was one of his wife’s favorite charities. I have a link below. Sad stuff, you never know what’s going to happen next. My best to Steve, and all the best to “Beautiful Wife” in the great beyond.
