A Message from Bob and Tom

INDIANAPOLIS (JULY 22, 2023) –   In response to related listener inquiries, please attribute
the following statement to Tom Griswold, Host of the nationally syndicated morning radio
show, “The Bob & Tom Show”:

“We are sad to confirm that Ron Sexton, a long-time member of the ensemble cast of
“The Bob & Tom Show”, died Saturday in Ohio while on tour with his stand-up comedy
show.  Ron was known by millions of listeners of “The Bob & Tom Show” for the indelible
comedic characters, he played on-air – including Donnie Baker, Kenny Tarmac, and
Floyd the Trucker, as well as his spot-on celebrity impersonations.  Ron was a much-
loved colleague and friend, and we will miss him greatly.  We send our sincerest
condolences to his family and friends. He made many, many people happy during his
more than 20 years with “The Bob & Tom Show,” and  we will remember him with love
             and gratitude.”

Ron’s family posted this on the Donnie Baker Facebook page earlier this morning.
It is with immense sadness that we let everyone know that Ron Sexton passed away
yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect
our privacy at this time and pray for our family.

This Week in 80’s History

Let’s take a look at what this week in the decade of decadence looked like! It was on this week in:

1984 – MTV Aired the Live WWF Event “The Brawl to End It All”

1987 – Guns N’ Roses Released Their Debut Album (Appetite for Destruction) The Highest Selling Debut Album of All Time selling over 30 million copies world wide!

1987 – For my money one of the more underappreciated 80’s comedies Summer School starring Mark Harmon and Kirstie Alley Premiered in Theaters

1988 – The worst sequel in movie history….Caddyshack II Premiered in Theaters. Whoever thought that was a good idea still owes the public a massive apology.

Hairball Video of the Week

It’s that time of your Saturday night! Time for your Hairball Video of the Week! This week’s video, plucked right out of the glory days of hair metal music videos! Taking it back to ’89 with Faster Pussycat and “House of Pain”. Your Hairball Video of the Week!
