We are a family-owned and operated pumpkin and honey farm that specializes in fall family FUN! 2014 marks our fifth anniversary and our best season yet! We’ve added new activities, games, food and events. We can’t wait to see you this fall! 

The Pumpkin Ranch has been home to Iowa’s Mega Corn Maze since 2011.   In 2012, we had the distinction of appearing in Time Magazine (October 8, 2012) as one of the nation’s 5 mazes with a message.

Our maze is just under 10 acres and contains several miles of paths.  There are 2 great games within the maze.  One is to find 12 different checkpoints and the other is Farm Scene Investigation, which is like playing the board game Clue in the maze.  In 2014 we are celebrating our 5th season in business and will be treating you to many new fun activities, games, and events.  The highlighted event of the year is a FREE concert by country singer, Jason Brown.  This year’s maze is dedicated to this awesome celebration.  To learn more about the concert and all events at The Pumpkin Ranch, check out our Events calendar.

Scream Acres  – Admission for 2 – $40.00 value for $20.00

Featuring 2 indoor haunts and the acclaimed Haunted Corn field. Scream Acres is Iowa’s largest triple haunt venue! Featuring the indoor slaughter house, indoor carnival-themed curtain Chaos and the haunted corn field. Open rain or shine every Friday and Saturday in October. The Haunted Barn is built every year and torn down at the end of October. One reason for doing this is to make sure that no matter how many times you come you will always have a surprise because things change every year!

Tormented Souls Haunt

Tormented Souls Haunt is Madrid, Iowa’s most terrifying haunted outdoor scream park. It is located on timber ground on the edge of the ghost town of Zook Spur, an old abandoned coal mining town.  Zook Spur’s residents are long gone in body but their spirits thrive in the paranormal phenomenons of the area. Experience the chill of the fall air and the Tormented Souls of Zook Spur as we unleash your inner fears and stir up your worst nightmares.  Stay very close to your friends and hold on for your life, this might very well be your final night. Pick up theTormented Souls Terror Bus, (if you dare) at Edgewood Park in Madrid, IA; it’s the only way to reach what lies in wait -out in the middle of nowhere! So hitch a ride on this scream maker with your eyes wide open in the pitch dark. We like victims of all ages, but do require parental consent and adult accompaniment for children under the age of 12.

Zee-Pocalypse Paintball is a chance for Zombie Hunters everywhere to unite and bag live zombies with paintballs! Zombie Hunters hunt at night (when zombies are most active) from an enclosed trailer armed with paintball guns. The florescent glow of the shots let Zombie Hunters know their targets have been acquired. Reservations on-line are a definite must to minimize lengthy wait lines and will tag a spot on a trailer for a designated evening. While Zombie Hunters will be given an estimated time for their ride, we caution that delays could happen and times provided are estimations. That said, arriving early is good, and a late arrival may really delay your ride time.  Price not included in admission.
