Arguably one of the most iconic albums in rock history, and whether you are a fan or not there is no denying it’s lasting impact in changing the rock world forever, Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ has now reached a milestone only nine other albums have done before it. ‘Nevermind’ has reached 700 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts, and currently ranks #120 and sits higher than Drake and the Weekend. Who says rock is dead?

Pat Benatar releases children’s book for her grandkids

“My Grandparents ROCK”, the brand new children’s book from rockers Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo is available now! Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton to feature deep cuts on new tour!

Long time Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton announced a 2025 tour with his new band, Close Enemies, and shared what fans can expect to hear. In a recent interview he stated:

“I knew that we’d be playing a couple of Aerosmith songs. You know, as far I’m concerned, ethically, it had to be songs that I had co-written. It’s not like we’re going to get up there and play ‘Walk This Way,’ ‘Dream On’ [and songs like that]. [But] ‘Sick as a Dog,’ I’ve been dying to play that song live for so long. I was having trouble getting the guys in Aerosmith to put it in the set. I realized, ‘Alright, this is my chance! Now I get to hear that song on stage again.'”

Rock royalty unite to help fight suicide and raise awareness for mental health

If anyone has listened to me for any amount of time on these airwaves knows, I take mental health very seriously and implore anyone dealing with suicidal thoughts, to seek the treatment options that are available. So anytime I find a story about rockers giving back to fight and raise funds for these causes, I have to share.

Billy Idol, Billy Howerdel (A Perfect Circle), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads/ Modern Lovers), Josh Freese (Foo Fighters), Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) and Tommy Henriksen & Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) and more to be announced in the new year are taking part in the Above Ground 2025 music festival in Hollywood on January 25th.

Above Ground was founded in 2018 by Jane’s Addiction guitarist, Dave Navarro, and Billy Idol guitarist, Billy Morrison,  to raise funds and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.

Clark W Griswold himself, Chevy Chase, joined Jeremy Jacobs to discuss the upcoming “A Conversation with Chevy Chase” event taking place at the Bridgeview Center in Ottumwa on Dec 15th! The event kicks off with a screening of the classic comedy. Afterward, Chase and Jayni will take the stage to share behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes about the making of the movie.
