I had the opportunity and to sit down with none other than John McDermott to discuss Experience Hendrix Tour coming to the Vibrant Music Hall on March 18th. John has served as Catalog Director for the Jimi Hendrix family company, Experience Hendrix for the better part of 3 decades! He shares all the information on the upcoming tour, what led to life being involved with Jimi’s family and the Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision box set that includes 38 previously unreleased tracks, amazing photos and documentary.

Black Sabbath announces one FINAL show

It has been talked about for months. There have been plenty of rumors and discussion but it looks like we will be getting one FINAL Black Sabbath show!

Featuring the original Sabbath lineup of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, “Back To The Beginning” will be a charity event held at Villa Park in Birmingham, United Kingdom on July 5. Tickets on sale from 10 a.m. on February 14. Support at the gig will come from METALLICA, SLAYER, PANTERA, Billy Corgan (THE SMASHING PUMPKINS),Tom Morello (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE),Fred Durst (LIMP BIZKIT),Jonathan Davis (KORN),Wolfgang Van Halen and many others!

All profits from this event will go to support the following charities: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa. Get more information at the link below:

Steven Tyler returns to the stage for post Grammy’s performance

Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler made his first performance after vocal cord injuries forced the band to cancel their Peace Out tour last year. Tyler was joined on stage by a who’s who of rock royalty including bandmate Tom Hamilton, Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt, former Guns n Roses member Matt Sorum, Mick Fleetwod and Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes. Tyler delighted the audience with Aerosmith classics “Toys in the Attic,”  a “Dream On” duet with country singer Lainey Wilson, “Sweet Emotion,” and “Walk This Way.” See videos and the full article below.
