Back to the Beginning raises $190 million for charity

The numbers are in and to say that last Saturday’s final performance from Ozzy and Black Sabbath was a success would be an understatement. Not only did 45,000 fans pack Villa Park, over 5.8 million people streamed the event live. It was announced at the start of the event that funds raised would be split between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice. There will be plenty to go around as the event raised over $190 million! Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello who served as the event’s musical director took to social media to announce “‘Back to the Beginning’ More than 190 million dollars will be donated to houses and hospitales [sic] for children.”
