This Week in 80’s History

Posted on September 24, 2022

It’s time to take a look back at This Week in 80’s History! It was on this week in:

1982 – Family Ties Premiered on NBC. The show would run for 7 seasons and Michael J Fox would win the Emmy for Most Outstanding Actor in a Comedy for his role as Alex P Keaton 3 years in a row!

1987 – The world was first introduced to the Tanner family as Full House premiered on ABC and would run for 8 season!

1989 – We would welcome the Winslow family into our homes as the future TGIF partner to Full House, Family Matters premiered on ABC.

1989 – Baywatch premiered on NBC and the world would never look at the red one piece swimsuit the same way. Ironically show star David Hasselhoff originally didn’t want to hire Pamela Anderson for fear that her large…well you know would distract fans from the other actors on screen.
