This Week in 80’s History!

Posted on December 9, 2023

Let’s see what this week in the 1980’s looked like shall we? It was on this week in:

1980 – Magnum P.I. Premiered on CBS. The show would run for 8 seasons and 162 episodes and would land Tom Selleck an Emmy in 1984.

1983 – Scarface Premiered in Theaters. Scarface would hold the crown for the most F bombs in a movie, dropping the word that would cost me this job a whopping 207 times!

1988 – Twins Premiered in Theaters. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, this would be the first time we would get to see the lighter side of Arnold as this was the action stars first comedic roll.

1989 – “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel Became the #1 Song in America. It would hold the top spot for 2 weeks.
