I had the opportunity to sit down with Alan Cookson to get all the details on this Saturday’s Pedal For Peace – Suicide Prevention Bike Ride. Suicide has effected both of our lives in one way or another, as I’m sure it has many of you. We invited you to join us for Pedal for Peace, a community bike ride raising awareness and support for suicide prevention in Iowa. This scenic ride brings friends, family, and fellow cyclists together to promote mental health awareness while enjoying some of Des Moines’ best trail stops.
Get all the details here:
The ride begins at West End Architectural Salvage and will take us through a fun, relaxed route with stops at:
Confluence Brewing Co.
Waterworks Bier Garten
Finishing at Captain Roy’s
Along the way, riders can enjoy great company, beautiful trails, and uplifting community spirit. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase, with proceeds going directly to support suicide prevention efforts here in Iowa.
